Preeya Shankar is an accomplished journalist and researcher. She has published in outlets including the New York Times and Marie Claire. She has written about topics including abortion rights, celebrities and entertainment, the LGBT+ community, and access to vaccines. She’s also worked at several universities, most recently at Northwestern University’s Environmental and Ecological Approaches to Health lab studying the effects of sociological stress on physiology. She also published an original abstract in the Ohio Journal of Science on the search for an HIV vaccine. She received her B.A. from New York University with Journalism and Anthropology majors.
